Thanks for stopping by to look at my aquarium. I hope you enjoy the photos.
I have found useful aquarium articles and resources from internet sources such Aquarium and pond Information to help me with my growing interest this hobby. This is how I learned more about UV Sterilization which resulted in my purchase of a UV Sterilizer. I also found the information at Aquarium Answers very useful with the unique posts of aquatic answers and articles.

Nice Tank you got there, the plant life is amazing. Got any videos of your fish in motion? Hope to see this gallery get bigger with some hq shots of the fish.
—Chris Cantrell -3dknight
Looks nice! Where is that blue gravel native to again? ;~)
—Adam (from TFA)
The gravel? Oh man I hate the gravel. It came with the tank and I wanted the bacteria. I want to carpet the gravel with plants of some kind but have put my money into lighting first. When my lights get here (today?) I will start carpeting the gravel to get rid of its ghastly color.
Thanks for the comment man!
—Tommy
I have nothing against colored gravel, it is my preferance to use a natural color. And if it came with it, you can't beat the price! What plant are you considering using to carpet?
—Adam
Well I tried! I guess the star feature isn't quite ready yet. I'll have to check back later (I like#5). BTW, did the driver manage to escape from the wreck?
—Ray
Great looking tank... nothing wrong with blue gravel, I have blue gravel in a few of mine, of course, mine was free too.. :) I like the yellow car!
—Gadixie
Thanks, Gadixie =)

I like the updates! Good looking setup (still). The DIY CO2 looks like it could handle about 3,000,000 psi... pretty BA
—Adam
One thing to note about that wine bottle fermentation-based CO2 generator though, guys. The main structural bond between the white plastic adapter and the black rubber coupling was NOT the hot glue. If you look closely you will see that it was about 4 or 5 zip ties pulled very tightly with needle nose pliers. They were then covered with hot glue to account for any possible leaks, which were very unlikely due to the amount of tension I put on those industrial strength zip ties. You might be able to see the zip ties if you look closely at http://www.atrixnet.com/aquarium-photos/images/Fri%20Dec%2022%20011709%20CST%202006%20020.jpg (copy+paste that URL into your browser's address bar)
I am stressing this in case someone was to take notice of my design and try it. Don't depend on the hot glue for strength in joining parts. It's only good for plugging very small leaks. Depend on those zip ties (industrial strength) and on that metal band with the tightening screw. Also make sure you don't over-tighten the metal band, as you will crush the neck of the glass bottle.
One more observation would be that you should avoid the plastic 2 liter bottles because they collapse under the force of pushing the rubber coupling down over the top!
The final comment: I used some teflon plumbers tape to wrap the threads on the bottom of that white plastic piece (the top of which is connected to the plastic tubing). That better seals the connection between the black rubber coupling and the white plastic piece and prevents possible leakage.

Perfect, and I do not know what people think but blue that have that nice blue glow to them...
Anyway great pictures can not wait to see more.
Got any pictures of the rescue tank?
